Brown-banded Cockroaches

A brown-banded cockroach is a small species of cockroach, typically measuring about 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch in length. As its name suggests, this cockroach has light brown bands running across its body. The brown-banded cockroach is a tropical species and is not commonly found in the United States.

Brown-banded cockroaches are not common in California. It is possible that you have Brown-banded Cockroaches, but it is more likely that you have the pervasive German Cockroach. If you have questions or concerns about the cockroach type you are finding give Killroy Pest Control a call and we can help you identify it.
