Roof Rat
Black Rat, Ship Rat (Rattus rattus)
The roof rat looks similar to a Norway rat but is smaller in size. Roof rats are also known as black rats, and they’re one of the most common types of rats in the state. Roof rats are brown or black, and they have long tails that are often lighter in color than their bodies.
